October Resin Increase Delayed

September 27, 2011

Resin suppliers have announced a price increase based on increasing demand and decreasing inventory levels.  Most manufacturers have made customers aware that due to the resin increase, stretch film prices were scheduled to increase approximately 7% the first week of October 2011.  Conpac Group has received notification that this increase has been put on hold.  This is not a permanent hold, but rather a delay so the manufacturers can see where the market is headed.  As always, we will stay on top of the current market conditions and post any pertinent information here.
